Program Details

The Directors' Camp facilitators work hard to create an extraordinary experience for participants that is intentionally different from a conference. Our belief is that the camp environment is, in itself, the most powerful vehicle for reflection, restoration, and professional development. Therefore:

  • All of Directors’ Camp takes place at camp. To enhance your director skills, we will immerse you in the camp experience—the one you work so hard to create for others.

  • All of Directors’ Camp is free from electronic technology. It will be both challenging and enlightening.

  • Much of the content of Directors’ Camp is determined by the participants. We have planned workshops, exercises, and experiences that participants will bring to life with their perspective, questions, and goals. We also survey participants before the program begins to learn more about your concerns, goals and experiences.

  • Part of Directors' Camp involves time spent in nature, noticing details you might have otherwise missed. Expect time for reflection (rare these days), which may take some getting used to.

  • Part of our weekend will involve honest interpersonal connection (a tremendous asset to your development).

  • What we share during the weekend is confidential, within the group. Unless we are concerned about a participant’s safety, we share a commitment to privacy.
